Last month 26 was the date when the barbaric ultras unleashed the terror on the economic heart of India- Mumbai.
The very mention of this city brings a peculiar anxiety in our hearts. The fast moving life, bollywood, continuous struggle to match up with the life..is all which symbolizes Mumbai- the city of dreams. No one ever imagined in their lives that 26/11 will completely change the mind set of the city…
I will not delve in the incident which occurred on that fateful evening as reams of paper already have been devoted for that.
Just like any other citizen of India, even my heart feels deeply sorry for those who lost their loved one..may god give them all the strength and courage to deal with this trauma. Since the day this incident took place I was sort of itching to write something on this whole issue, but somewhere in my heart I was waiting for something…and that something was fading of people’s memories after some time which normally happens in our day to day life, as if we have made ourselves accustomed to such kind of attacks. But this time it was crossing the thresh hold of patience of an average Indian, and I am relieved that my wait is still not over..people this time are just not ready to buy philosophies like “Never say die spirit of Mumbai” and so on..this time they want some action no matter if we have to declare a war on Pakistan , we are ready for that as well, but something has to happen.
I am really eager to see that what happens in coming few months. with general elections due in mid 2009 I wonder what strategy government takes but something has to take place…I will just pray that once again people should not forget all that happened in name of “never say die spirit of Mumbai”..
In the end..one cliche is coming to my mind..” LIFE Goes on….” but my question is till what point…hope we are not tested till a point where every thing ends and only anarchy remains..
God bless us all..and Mumbai…
